Military Test Programs
To operate the Military Test programs:
The Military Test programs provide workouts of a preset distance, as required by the
Army, Navy, USMC, and USAF. As the names imply, the object of each test is to
complete the run distance as quickly as possible. At the completion of the test, a time-
based score (defined by the respective branch of the Military) is returned to the user.
Each test begins with treadmill incline at 1% (which best simulates outdoor running).
Army Program
The U.S. Army Physical Fitness Test is a physical performance test used to assess
muscular endurance and cardio-respiratory fitness.
Using the number keys or FAST/SLOW buttons, set your age and gender values. Scroll
to change between fields. Press ENTER to start program. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN
FOR TWO MILES. YOU MUST ADJUST SPEED DURING TEST FOR BEST SCORE.
LEAVE ELEVATION AT 0%. PRESS FAST TO START.
Navy Program
The running portion of the U.S. Navy Physical Readiness Test is a distance goal test
based on the time needed to complete the required distance and is used by the U.S.
Navy and Naval academy’s to measure aerobic capacity.
Using the number keys or FAST/SLOW buttons, set your age and gender values. Scroll
to change between fields. Press ENTER to start program. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN
FOR ONE AND A HALF MILES. YOU MUST ADJUST SPEED DURING TEST FOR
BEST SCORE. Leave elevation at 0%. Press FAST to START. (Note: differs from Air
Force test only in the way the results are given, Navy results are given as text results
rather than numerical points.)
Air Force Program
The U.S. Air Force Physical Readiness Test is a physical performance test used to
